UMW Purpose ... The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

From September through May the United Methodist Women meet regularly. The yearly schedule includes General Meetings which joins all the members. There are three circles. Two circles meet on the third Wednesday of the month: Rebekah Circle at 9:30 a.m. and Hannah Circle at 1:30 p.m. The newest Circle Lydia meets on the fourth Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The monthly Grapevine and the chruch calendar will give you up-to-date information.

Asbury UMW offers various fund-raising events throughout the year, such as book sales, soup lunch, and bake sales.  In February UMW offered a "Chocolate Fare," an all-chocolate extravaganza in recognition of Valentine's Day.  Proceeds from fund-raisers supplement members' donations to support mission work nationally, internationally, and locally.
